Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor and morning reporter on WCBD TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reporting about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases led to the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the state authorities re-issuing a more stringent directive regarding DUI cases.
